About this event
Helen Kwong will lead and Lorraine Trautwein will sweep for this No-Drop Ride that takes us through a counterclockwise Paradise Loop “with a side of Strawberries and extra toppings.” We will take the first climb on Chapman Drive, then take Seminary Drive to cross under the highway to Strawberry Point; at Belvedere Island we scale a short bump on Beach Rd to take in some panoramic water views; then onto downtown Tiburon, from there we take a brief Mar West Drive detour before hopping back onto to Paradise Dr and a final jog through a few bike paths to return to the start.
This is a SOCIAL GROUP ride; a steady pace of 12-14 mph average will be maintained during the entire ride. The intent is to ride together as a group, have fun and get to know each other.
After the ride please feel free to bring your bike with you and join us at Cafe Verde for lunch.
Women only ride. Please invite your friends who might be up for a ride of this distance and climbing. We’d love for them to become new members of The Marin Cyclists. All riders, including non-members, must register online in advance.
