Come out for an MLK Day ride with Margie Baer, holiday mode mid morning start. From Mill Valley thru Sausalito, climb Headlands on Conzelman, down to lighthouse, north to Marine Mammal Center, across paved service road to Battery Townsley, down past Rodeo beach, back on Bunker road, thru tunnel, returning north thru Sausalito and MV. Regroups at major hilltop overlooks. Enjoy the bridge views after a good climb, along with best beach overlook. If you are feeling ravenous post ride we recommend The Junction (Pizza Hacker) 226 CA-1, Mill Valley, CA 94941 for their stand out pizzas and big selection of local brews.

Terrain: +80.38' per mile avg. elevation gain; very hilly rating; 800 foot climb up to Hawk Hill and then a very twisty and steep descent on Conzelman out to Headlands and 2 smaller 300 footer bumps.

Climbs:
-Sausalito to Hawk Hill: 3.5 miles/+949'/4.4% avg. gradient
-Bunker Road to Coastal Trail: 1.4 miles/+332'/4.4% avg. gradient

***Not a beginners ride and not a NO DROP ride. If you plan on riding way faster or slower than the main group you will likely be separated from the main group. Please have the route and turn by turn cue sheet with you or find a buddy or two who know the way and stay with them. Please make sure your bike has strong reliable brakes because you WILL NEED THEM.
