About this event

Train with us for the Marin Century! This ride is the sixth of 13 consecutive Sundays gradually progressing, to prepare you for the 100 mile route on August 1.
This week is another classic West Marin route, the Marshall loop starting in Nicasio. Scenery includes rolling farmland and scenic Tomales Bay. Climbs include the Cheese Factory Hill at mile 4, the 700-foot elevation, Marshall Wall at mile 18 and Olema Hill at mile 35. Feel those muscles growing! Pace will be social to leisurely, averaging 10 - 14 mph overall moving speed, depending on the participants.
Road bikes with slick tires are recommended. Make sure you have two, full, large water bottles. Water is scarce at the beginning of this ride. Regroup at Hicks Valley Road (mile 7.7), top of Marshall Wall (mile 18), Pt Reyes Station (mile 31). Coffee stop will be at Pt Reyes Station.
You can come along whether you are riding the Century or not. If you missed the first rides in this series, but feel able to ride 45 tough miles, come along!
