The 2019 Marin Ride of Silence will remember cyclists killed or severely injured in Marin or who were friends or family of ride participants. We will assemble at 10:30 a.m. Saturday May 18 at Piper Park in Larkspur rain or shine. After a short program, the riders will leave for San Anselmo at 11 a.m. sharp and return to Piper Park by a slightly different route. The ride will be short (7.5 mi.), slow (12 mph max) and flat, on safe streets. Riders are asked to wear one of the white Ride of Silence T-shirts which will be available for purchase or loan for the ride. The T-shirts and a large Ride of Silence banner will make the ride visible to pedestrians, other cyclists and motorists. Helmets are required. Flyers will be distributed at the turnaround in downtown San Anselmo with the message that motorists need to be aware of cyclists and the need to share the road with them safely.
