Let's Get This Patty Started! Roasters to Acme Burger Cotati. Social Pace/56 mi/+3,500' (Helen)

Time: meet 8:45AM/ wheels roll 9:00AM

Place: Marin Coffee Roasters  546 San Anselmo Avenue, San Anselmo CA 94960  Map

Event:  Ride Along-Social Pace (12.5-14.0 mph overall average moving pace including climbs) 56 miles, +3,500', rolling terrain, +62.49 feet of elevation gain per mile, one way ride from San Anselmo to downtown Cotati for burgers and beers at Acme Burger, Cotati.  We'll tread on familiar grounds until we get to Pt. Reyes Petaluma Road and Hwy 1.   Ride alongside Tomales Bay until we make our way to Tomales.  From there we weave our way north on the backroads from Tomales Petaluma Rd to Valley Ford Rd, Roblar Rd and Stony Point Road.  It's a long way for a burger run.   Decent amount of cumulative climbs, approximately 5 total.  No single climb greater than White's Hill +508'.

I'd be delighted if you will roll with me at a social pace.  The ride is timed for arrival at Acme Burger by about  2PM.  Plenty of outdoor seating.   Customizable burgers, fries, milkshakes and beers.   We will leave for the Cotati Smart Station (4 mins by bike) at about 2:50PM to catch the 3:07 PM train back to Downtown San Rafael Station at 3:57 PM.  ***The earlier southbound train leaves Cotati at 12:49PM.  There are no other Weekend southbound trains departing from Cotati between 12:49PM and 3:07 PM.  Please time your ride accordingly if you plan to ride at a faster pace.   Slower riders may not have time for a sit down lunch or might consider taking the next train at 4:48PM.  The Social Pace ride is timed at 11 mph elapsed time pacing including all climbs, regroups and restroom + water stops.

Return Directions:  From 3rd Street Station back to Marin Coffee Roasters 2.5 miles.  3rd Street SR SMART-Roasters Map

Please download the route to your bike computer.  There are several turns to the destination.  If you don't know the way please stay with the group.  Riding way FASTER or SLOWER than the set pace may result in you riding on your own; you must provide your own navigation.
