About this event
Let's push the boundaries a little on this Memorial Day Holiday! We'll roll across the Golden Gate Bridge and visit a few classic climbs in the city by the bay where San Francisco bikers go for their hill intervals. Then pizza and beers at Tam Junction/Pizza Hacker 227 Shoreline Hwy, Mill Valley CA 94941 Don't you want to spend the day with the zany Marin Cyclists crew?
Time: meet 9:45AM/Roll 10AM
Location: Mill Valley Bike Turnabout at the SASM
The Ride: Bike path to East Road, Conzelman road to the bridge, The Presidio, Legion of Honor, Golden Gate Park, Medical Center Way/Mt. Sutro Open Space Reserve, Twin Peak Blvd for a photo op. That's all for the climbs. It's downhill most of the way after that. Sausalito and bike path back. Post ride Pizza and beers at the Junction. Route Map
Pace: You can hammer if you like but please have the route with you as you may end up riding on your own. Social AB Pace (11.0-13.0 mph including all climbs.) Not a beginner's ride. Hilly rating: +76 feet elevation gain per mile. 6 climbs in all. No single climb more than 500'.
