SOCIAL AB Pace Route: (12.5-13.9 mph) Ride with Helen Kwong. Atlas Peak Road climb, turn back at 1100' elevation, mi 8. Feel free to climb further as you like. Please have the route with you. Same as the base 67 mile route following Silverado Trail. At mile 34.1 we take a left at Larkmead Lane to cut over to Hwy 128. Brief 10 minute restroom/water/snack break at St. Helena Crane Park, mi 41.6 and we head home on Napa Valley Vine Trail. Overall 57 miles, +2,600'
Moderate B Pace Route: (14.0-15.9 mph; faster on the flats) Ride with Billy Farrer. Start from Trancas Street, Silverado Trail, Hardman Avenue to Atlas Peak Road. Climb to about 1400' elevation where the hill flattens out. Then take a U turn and descend down the hill back the way you came and continue north on Silverado Trail until you get to Calistoga. Brief lunch stop at Cal Mart 1491 Lincoln Avenue, Calistoga Map . There is also a bathroom and water stop just 1/2 mile down the road at the Calistoga Tedeschi Field public restrooms. It's mostly flat all the way after the Atlas Peak climb. Overall, 67 miles, +3,200'
Brisk C Pace folks: (16.0 mph+ average overall pace). Same Base route. This pace group will be leaderless. Please provide your own navigation. Climb as much of Atlas Peak Road as you like. Regroup, or not. Fall back with the B pace group or ride in small pods. Overall 67 miles, +3,200'
