Women's Social Sunday Headlands
About this event
Join the Ladies for a wonderful Sunday Ride. Meet at the turnabout on the Mill Valley-Sausalito bike path, right next to the Sewerage Agency of Southern Marin and Mill Valley Middle School at 9:45 am. Start time is 10 am. We will ride the bike path to Sausalito and then head up to Hawk Hill, loop around a bit, fly down to Rodeo Beach and then return through the tunnel to Baker-Barry tunnel and back through Sausalito to Mill Valley.
Total distance is only 23 miles. There is a lot of flat riding, but the Headlands climb is a doozy, 2.3 miles, 800 feet, average 6% grade, with a few steeper pitches. Views from the top are stupendous! We will regroup frequently and wait at the top of the climbs for everybody to catch up. You can do it!
After the ride, come hang out and nosh at Tamalpie, around the corner, at 477 Miller Avenue.
